29th – April 1st St. Barths Bucket – A three day invitational meg-yachts race

14th  Bastille Day - French National Public Holiday

28th – 29th   Fête des Quartiers du Nord (North Parishes Festival) – Music, games, sport

contests, regattas, entertainment and fireworks at Flamands Beach


AUGUST


11th – 12th  Fête des Quartiers du Vent (Windward Parishes Festival) – Dragnet fishing

contests, dances, sport contests in the village of Lorient.

 

 

14th – 15th Pitea Day – Commemorates 1977 City hood of St. Barths & Pitea (city of Sweden) – Sailing Regattas on Beach of Public


15th  Assumption Day – Religious Holiday

 

18th – 19th Fête de Gustavia (Festival of Gustavia) – Dragnet fishing contests, pinochle

and domino competitions, regattas, dances, parties, fireworks, live music in Gustavia


24th  Fête de St. Barthelemy (Festival of St. Barthelemy) – Festival of the island’s

Patron Saint – Church bells ring, flags unfurl, boats are blessed; Regatta,

procession with blessing of the sea, wreath-laying ceremony at War Memorial,

wining and dining, fireworks, live music, public ball

 

25th Feast of St. Louis in Village of Corossol with fishing contests, regatta, games, fireworks, live music

 

SEPTEMBER


2nd   Senior's Day - Special events and merriment for older citizens by island children

NOVEMBER


1st All Saints Day – Religious Day – From dusk on, cemeteries decorated with

hundreds of lighted candles

 

11th Armistice Day - Public Holiday commemorating the end of World War I (1918)

DECEMBER

 

24th – 25th Christmas –  Midnight Mass / Réveillon on Christmas Eve; gifts/feasting on

Christmas Day, a Religious and Public Holiday

 

31st   New Year’s Eve – Live music from 9:00 PM at Quai General de Gaulle in

Gustavia, fireworks at midnight, entertainment in some restaurants
