JANUARY

1st                     New Year’s Day – Public Holiday on both sides of the island

 

FEBRUARY

19th – 29th            French side Carnival –Two weeks of celebration at the Carnival Village in Marigot open nightly with local entertainment and talent shows & three days of colorful parades in the streets

 

MARCH

3rd – 5th              26th Edition of the Heineken Regatta – 3 days of world class yachts and sailing and 4 nights of non-stop fun at the parties around the island

23rd                   Treaty of Concordia – Celebrating the day the island was divided between the French and the Dutch

 

APRIL

19th – May 3rd             37th Year of Dutch side Carnival – Two weeks of celebration at the Carnival Village in Philipsburg open nightly with local & inter-island entertainment, talent shows and three days of colorful parades in the streets

 

MAY

11th – 14th             SXM Challenge – High octane watersports at Orient Bay

14th – 15th             Captain Oliver’s & Carib Beer Regatta – Sailing regatta with activities for all

21st – 22nd            Nautical Fair – A weekend of nautical activities with demonstrations of water sports and live musical entertainment on the French side of the island

 

JUNE

7th – 12th            Marlin Bill Fish Tournament – 8th edition of the International Deep Sea Fishing Tournament

20th – 21st             Summer Heat Music Festival – A weekend of international music in Marigot

 

JULY

21st – 30th             Annual St. Maarten Summerfest – Concerts featuring international recording artists, beach parties and street fairs

14th                   Bastille Day French Side – National holiday

 

AUGUST

7th                     Anguilla Monday – Weekend celebrations that take place on Anguilla to include around the island boat races, international live music and non-stop partying!

 

SEPTEMBER

27th                   World Tourism Day – In celebration of World Tourism Day, both tourism offices of the island organize an official ceremony.

 

OCTOBER

21st                   Antillean Day – Official holiday on the Dutch side

 

NOVEMBER

11th                   St. Martin’s Day – Armistice day…Island wide celebrations

18th                   Annual ‘Around the Island Relay Race’

 TBA                  St. Maarten Big Game Fishing Tournament

 

DECEMBER

25th                   Christmas Day

31st                  New Year’s Eve – Many celebrations all around the island!
